At The Reduce Clinic, we offer more than just quick solutions; we offer the tools for
permanent change.
The team at The Reduce Clinic is headed by two highly experienced GPs who will ensure that you receive the weight loss guidance you deserve.
Together, we can create a diet and lifestyle plan designed to make weight loss more sustainable.
Our team will devise an exercise and nutrition plan to help you stay on target, while still hitting your nutritional goals.
In accordance with NICE guidelines, we can prescribe our leading weight loss injection that can reduce your weight by up to 20% and take up to 8 inches from your waistline.
We know that your weight loss journey is about more than just the numbers on the scale, so our team takes a holistic approach, providing you with the foundations you need to lead a healthier life.
We are here to discuss details of the medication, injection technique, possible side effects, alteration in dosage and much more. After the initial consultation you will have a 3 week review arranged. However, in between, you can email or phone to book a call-back for advice, so you are never left without professional backup. This is all part of our service, with no additional fees.
At The Reduce Clinic, we are committed to supporting you as you reach your weight loss milestones. Our services include a detailed medical assessment, medical weight loss treatments, general health advice, dietary guidance and also the option of weight loss CBT therapy. Our team is dedicated to helping you make positive improvements in your life.
Our weight loss services will help you control your cravings, make healthier choices and feel better in your body.
First, you will receive a face-to-face consultation with one of our specialists. This can be undertaken at one of our clinics or via video consultation. Once we understand your challenges, we can develop a personalised plan to help you achieve your goal.
Once our specialists fully understand your needs, they can discuss your treatment options. These include weight loss medication, exercise and dietary advice and CBT therapy. The specialist will provide written guidance on these treatments for further support.
If you decide on the medication route, you must learn how to administer the injection. The injection is straightforward and can be administered at home, but it is important to know how to administer it safely. The injections come in 6 dosages, between 2.5mg and 15mg.
Our expert team will show you how to administer and dispose of your injection safely at one of our clinics. After the first injection, you can continue to receive supervision and administer your own injection at home.

The Reduce Clinic has two clinics, one based in Liverpool and the other based in Manchester but of course you can always book a virtual consultation!
At The Reduce Clinic we understand that not everybody can reach our clinics and that some people may find face to face consultations overwhelming which is why we offer Virtual Consultations for all of our patients.
We understand that our patients may have some questions about how the process works, what’s involved and the weight loss pens themselves, which is why we have put together a list of the most frequently asked questions which prove most valuable to our patients.
Safety and supervision are the key benefits of The Reduce Clinic and that starts with a full assessment by an experienced doctor to ensure it does not interfere with other medication you may be taking such as digoxin or warfarin and to ensure important safety advice regarding contraception is given if required.
Our trained nurses will clearly demonstrate the use of the pen and can perform and supervise all the injections if required.
We know that weight loss is more successful if there is support and advice in person face-to-face. We also know that when using any specialist medication, outcomes are better if good relationships are established with health professionals. So, speaking to a doctor or specialist nurse will allow any fear or concerns about the medication or any issues about how to inject to be addressed from both sides and monitored safely.
It is a GLP-1 and GIP agonist which reduces appetite and craving and slows down the rate of food leaving the stomach so you feel fuller longer leading to significant weight loss.
It is taken by injection in weekly doses. It comes in pens each containing 4 weekly doses.
The medication is well tolerated by the majority of patients. The commonest side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation.
It should not be given to anyone with a BMI of less than 27 and female patients should not get pregnant within 4 weeks of starting it or increasing the dose. Caution needs to be taken in patients with a history of gallstones, pancreatitis and some cancers.
